Pakistan Government has decided to print Currency Notes of new Designs 2026
The government has decided to print currency notes of new design after the approval of the federal cabinet. The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the new design of notes of Rs 100, 500, 1,000 and 5,000. The new notes will be produced with modern security threads and will highlight the geographical, historical and social features of Pakistan. The cabinet also formed a special committee to review the design before the final issuance.
According to the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (PSPC), the new notes will have modern and improved security features. The final designs for printing are yet to be officially received, according to a daily newspaper. Senior Manager Printing Aamir Shams said that consultations have taken place between the State Bank and PSPC regarding the printing of the new currency. He said that the central bank is currently considering whether the new designs will be issued in phases or all denominations will be introduced at once. The State Bank will announce its official printing schedule later this year.
If the cabinet approves, the new currency notes are likely to be issued later this year.
پاکستان سیکیورٹی پرنٹنگ کارپوریشن (PSPC) کے مطابق نئے نوٹوں میں جدید اور بہتر سیکیورٹی فیچرز ہوں گے۔ پرنٹنگ کے لیے حتمی ڈیزائن ابھی تک باضابطہ طور پر موصول ہونا باقی ہیں، ایک روزنامہ خبر کے مطابق۔ سینئر منیجر پرنٹنگ عامر شمس نے کہا کہ نئی کرنسی کی چھپائی کے حوالے سے اسٹیٹ بینک اور PSPC کے درمیان مشاورت ہوئی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مرکزی بینک ابھی اس بات پر غور کر رہا ہے کہ آیا نئے ڈیزائن مرحلہ وار جاری کیے جائیں گے یا تمام مالیت کے نوٹ ایک ساتھ متعارف کرائے جائیں گے۔ اسٹیٹ بینک اس سال کے آخر میں اپنے سرکاری پرنٹنگ شیڈول کا اعلان کرے گا۔
اگر کابینہ نے منظوری دے دی، تو امکان ہے کہ نئے کرنسی نوٹ اس سال کے آخر میں جاری کیے جائیں گے۔
حکومت نے وفاقی کابینہ کی منظوری کے بعد نئے ڈیزائن کے کرنسی نوٹس چھاپنے کا فیصلہ کر لیا ہے۔ وزیراعظم شہباز شریف کی زیر صدارت اجلاس میں 100، 500، 1,000 اور 5,000 روپے کے نوٹس کے نئے ڈیزائن کی منظوری دی گئی۔ نئے نوٹس جدید سکیورٹی تھریڈز کے ساتھ تیار کیے جائیں گے اور پاکستان کی جغرافیائی، تاریخی اور سماجی خصوصیات کو اجاگر کریں گے۔ کابینہ نے حتمی اجرا سے قبل ڈیزائن کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے خصوصی کمیٹی بھی قائم کی
