I am directed to coordinate regarding the subject matter that the following schedule is hereby communicated to conduct the End-of-Year School-Based Assessment (SBA) 2026 for Grades 1 to 8 across the Punjab along with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Syllabus, Paper Pattern and Date Sheet.

- STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES
Item Bank will be uploaded on Item Bank System (IBS) on 3rd March, 2026. The End-of-Year SBA 2026 has been developed in accordance with the syllabus as per Academic Calendar.
II. All the question papers will be provided bilingually except English, Urdu, Tarjuma-tul-Quran-ul-Majeed and Ethics. However, the schools are given the option to generate the subject papers either in English or Urdu.
Every school will generate question papers by logging into the Item Bank System (IBS) with QR code showing complete information of the school with EMIS code (which can be scanned through QR Code Scanning App).
IV. The system-generated paper for each subject (Grades 3 to 8) will be of Two Page with QR Code. Marking will be done as per Keys & Rubrics generated along with the papers through IBS.
V. The assessment of Grades 1 & 2 will be oral for all subjects with five (05) sections of twenty (20) marks each, whereas, only one question for each subject of English and Urdu will be in writing to assess the writing skill. One colored print of each subject paper having Four Pages, is required for Grades 1 & 2 for Teachers Only.

VI. The assessment of listening, speaking and reading skills in the subjects of English and Urdu will be conducted on the separate day. The questions for assessment of these skills have been provided in Rubrics.
VII. Papers for optional subjects will be developed and conducted by the schools themselves on PECTAA pattern, i.e., 32 MCQs of 48 marks and 5 CRQs of 52 marks and will be reflected in the Student Report Card accordingly.
VIII. The schools will arrange Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) on 31 March, 2026 (Grade 1 to 7) and the Student Report Cards prepared on prescribed format, which is available in the school IBS login, and the same will be shared with parents in the meeting. All the schools will maintain and keep updated the Assessment Register. The Result of Grade 8 will be shared along with the Annual Exam Result.
IX. The CEOs-DEAs will take necessary measures to ensure that the schools have generated papers through IBS by using their school login. It will also be ensured that the SBA is conducted in accordance with the schedule and the SOPs. Its implementation shall be inspected by the especially constituted monitoring teams during the conduct and marking of the End-of-Year SBA 2026.
X. The CEO-DEAS will transmit/ circulate the schedule for End-of-Year SBA 2026 to all the public & private schools for optimum utilization of IBS.
XI. The private schools may contact to the CEO-DEAS concerned for login & password to generate the papers through IBS.

*MOST IMPORTANT*تمام ہیڈ صاحبان اور کلاس ہشتم کے انچارج حضرات سے گزارش ہے کہ اپنے اپنے سکول کے آٹھویں جماعت کے طلبہ کی رول نمبر سلپس فوری طور پر ڈاؤن لوڈ کر کے اچھی طرح چیک کریں۔ یاد رہے کہ یہ ڈیٹا ایس آئی ایس پنجاب ایپ سے 15 اکتوبر یا نومبر میں حاصل کیا گیا تھا۔اگر نومبر کے بعد داخل ہونے والے کسی طالب علم کی رول نمبر سلپ جاری نہیں ہوئی، یا ایسے طلبہ کی رول نمبر سلپس جاری ہو چکی ہیں جن کا ریکارڈ ایس آئی ایس ایپ کے ڈیٹا سے مطابقت نہیں رکھتا، تو اس کی نشاندہی کریں۔اگر ایسے طلبہ کی تعداد کم (چار یا پانچ تک) ہو تو امتحان والے دن مینول رول نمبر سلپ جاری کر کے فوری آن لائن ٹیگنگ کر دی جائے گی، جس سے مسئلہ حل ہو جائے گا۔تاہم اگر متاثرہ طلبہ کی تعداد زیادہ ہو تو متعلقہ سکول ہیڈ فوری طور پر ڈپٹی ڈی ای او کو تحریری طور پر ان طلبہ کے مکمل کوائف فراہم کریں:وہ طلبہ جو ایس آئی ایس میں موجود ہیں مگر ان کی رول نمبر سلپ جاری نہیں ہوئی۔وہ طلبہ جن کی رول نمبر سلپ جاری ہو چکی ہے لیکن ریکارڈ ایس آئی ایس سے مطابقت نہیں رکھتا۔ایسے تمام طلبہ کی مکمل فہرست کل تک ڈپٹی ڈی ای او کے دفتر میں جمع کروانا لازمی ہے۔ ڈپٹی ڈی ای او یہ فہرست ڈسٹرکٹ فوکل پرسن کو ارسال کریں گے، جہاں سے باقاعدہ رپورٹ تیار کر کے سی ای او آفس کے ذریعے پیکٹا لاہور کو بھجوائی جائے گی۔پیکٹا متعلقہ طلبہ کا ریکارڈ دوبارہ چیک کرے گا اور جن طلبہ کی رول نمبر سلپس جاری نہیں ہوئیں، وہ جاری کر دی جائیں گی۔
