The Punjab government has approved a support card scheme for widows. This scheme has been introduced to provide financial assistance to widows across Punjab and will be implemented under the Zakat and Welfare Department.
. Each deserving widow will be given Rs 100,000 in cash, if the widow has one child, an additional Rs 25,000 will be provided, if there are two children, another Rs 50,000 will be given.
The aim of the scheme is to reduce the financial pressure on widows and help them meet the basic needs of their children. The Zakat and Welfare Department has allocated Rs 4 billion for this scheme, which will help strengthen the economic condition of widows and reduce their dependence on aid sources.
According to the report, the scheme is expected to be implemented by the end of this month and deserving women will be provided with registration and financial assistance soon.

پنجاب حکومت نے بیوہ خواتین کے لیے سپورٹ کارڈ اسکیم کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔یہ اسکیم پنجاب بھر کی بیوہ خواتین کو مالی معاونت فراہم کرنے کے لیے متعارف کروائی گئی ہے اور زکوة اینڈ ویلفیئر ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے تحت لاگو کی جائے گی۔
. ہر مستحق بیوہ خاتون کو ایک لاکھ روپے نقد رقم دی جائے گی،اگر بیوہ کا ایک بچہ ہے تو اضافی پچیس ہزار روپے فراہم کیے جائیں گے، اگر دو بچے ہیں تو مزید پچاس ہزار روپے دیے جائیں گے۔
اسکیم کا مقصد بیوہ خواتین پر مالی دباؤ کم کرنا اور ان کے بچوں کی بنیادی ضروریات پوری کرنے میں مدد فراہم کرنا ہے۔زکوة اینڈ ویلفیئر ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے اس اسکیم کے لیے چار ارب روپے مختص کیے ہیں، جو بیوہ خواتین کی معاشی حالت مضبوط بنانے اور امدادی ذرائع پر انحصار کم کرنے میں معاون ثابت ہوں گے۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق یہ اسکیم اس ماہ کے آخر تک لاگو ہونے کی توقع ہے اور مستحق خواتین کو جلد ہی رجسٹریشن اور مالی معاونت فراہم کی جائے گی۔
