App launched for online registration of births, deaths, marriages and divorces in Punjab
The Punjab Local Government Department has officially launched a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application to digitize civil registration across the province in collaboration with NADRA.
Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique announced while launching the e-registration app that people will be able to register births, deaths and marriages as well as divorces from the comfort of their homes. The move aims to make these services more efficient and transparent.
According to the minister, the app is fully integrated with the NADRA data system and will ensure that once a record is entered, it will automatically update on the national database without the need for any intervention. “With this online system, we will eliminate delays and discrepancies in documents filed by millions of people,” he said.
According to additional information from Zeeshan Rafique, the aim of the agreement between the Local Government Department and NADRA was to modernize Punjab’s civil registration system. The integration will also help in achieving the right composition of the population.
According to the minister, the e-registration system has been linked to the offices of union councils in Punjab. This enables easy verification and registration at the grassroots level.

صوبائی وزیر بلدیات ذیشان رفیق نے ای رجسٹریشن ایپ کا آغاز کرتے ہوئے اعلان کیا کہ لوگ اپنے گھروں میں آرام سے پیدائش، اموات اور شادیوں کے ساتھ ساتھ طلاقوں کی رجسٹریشن کر سکیں گے۔ اس اقدام کا مقصد ان خدمات کو مزید موثر اور شفاف بنانا ہے۔
وزیر کے مطابق، ایپ مکمل طور پر نادرا ڈیٹا سسٹم کے ساتھ مربوط ہے اور اس بات کو یقینی بنائے گی کہ ایک بار ریکارڈ داخل ہونے کے بعد، یہ خود بخود قومی ڈیٹا بیس پر کسی مداخلت کی ضرورت کے بغیر اپ ڈیٹ ہوجائے گی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ “اس آن لائن سسٹم کے ساتھ، ہم لاکھوں لوگوں کی جانب سے دستاویزات میں ہونے والی تاخیر اور تضادات کو ختم کر دیں گے۔”
ذیشان رفیق کی اضافی معلومات کے مطابق محکمہ لوکل گورنمنٹ اور نادرا کے درمیان معاہدے کا مقصد پنجاب کے سول رجسٹریشن سسٹم کو جدید بنانا تھا۔ انضمام سے آبادی کی صحیح ترکیب حاصل کرنے میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔
وزیر کے مطابق ای رجسٹریشن سسٹم کو پنجاب میں یونین کونسلز کے دفاتر سے منسلک کر دیا گیا ہے۔ یہ نچلی سطح پر آسانی سے تصدیق اور رجسٹریشن کے قابل بناتا ہے۔
